Photo sharing apps comparedBest face recognition photo sharing apps for photographers in India (2026)

Guests at Indian weddings no longer want to wait weeks for photos: they scan a QR code, take a selfie and see only the photos they are in. Many apps now do this. We make one of them, Photomitra, so every fact below comes from each product's own website, and the apps are in alphabetical order, ours included.

Last updated 16 October 2026

What to look for

The apps look alike on the surface but differ a lot in how photos get in, what they cost and what else they do.

  1. 1Live upload from the cameraCan your camera send photos over FTP while you shoot, so guests see them during the event? Or do you upload from a laptop afterwards? Check which camera brands are listed, and whether live upload is on every plan or only some.
  2. 2Selfie accuracyEvery app says its face matching is accurate. Test it yourself on a real function, with group shots, side angles and low light.
  3. 3Privacy and consentA face is personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Look for a mode where guests see only their own photos, a clear answer on how long face data is kept, and a way for guests to delete it.
  4. 4Pricing in rupeesCompare the real yearly cost: monthly or yearly billing, whether GST is added on top, photo or storage limits, credits per photo, per-event packs and message charges.
  5. 5SupportWhen a camera won't connect at a venue, you need help fast. Check for WhatsApp or phone support, the hours, and whether they speak your language.

How we checked

We read each product's own website (its pricing, feature and help pages) on 16 October 2026. Prices are shown as those pages showed them, with GST or taxes mentioned only where the site mentions them; where a site shows no price, we say so. Kwikpic's pricing page didn't show prices to our checker that day, so its figures are from our check on 10 October 2026. We didn't buy paid plans or test face matching ourselves. Prices and features change: check each site before you decide.

Questions

Which app is best for wedding photographers in India?

It depends on how you shoot. If guests should see photos during the function, pick an app with live camera upload over FTP on your plan; if you deliver after the event, a free plan may be enough. Try two of them on a real event.

Do guests need to install an app?

Not with most of them: the gallery opens in the phone's browser after the QR. Some, like Kamero, Kwikpic and PicsDrop, also offer apps.

Can my camera send photos live?

If it has built-in FTP (most recent Sony, Canon and Nikon bodies do) and the app accepts FTP. Our camera guides show the menus for each model.
